About
I’m Thomas LeClair — a photographer drawn to light, contrast, and the quiet moments that often go unnoticed. My work spans automotive, landscape, and wildlife photography, but the common thread is intention: understanding the subject, the environment, and the moment before pressing the shutter.
My background spans motorsports, automotive manufacturing, and editorial photography. I’ve worked inside performance and racing organizations, contributed to marketing and content creation efforts, and photographed vehicles and stories that have appeared in print and long-form features. That path from engineering and trackside environments to visual storytelling has shaped a disciplined, editorial approach to photography that values preparation, context, and authenticity.
Selected interviews: Cars Yeah · Voyage Utah
Based in southern Utah, I work throughout the West and travel for commissioned assignments. Whether photographing machines built for motion, landscapes shaped by time, or wildlife on their own terms, I aim to produce work that holds up — visually and materially — over the long term. All fine art prints are produced individually on metal, with decisions around size, surface, and mounting made specifically for each piece and the space it will live in.
